Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOG), a leading provider of architectural building products and services, as well as high-performance coated materials used in a variety of applications, announced today that its Board of Directors has elected Joseph B. Hayek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Worthington Enterprises, Inc., and Suresh Krishna, President and Chief Executive Officer of Proto Labs, Inc., as independent directors, effective August 5, 2026. The appointments expand the Board from six to eight directors.

Mr. Hayek has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Worthington Enterprises, Inc. since November 2024. Previously, he served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Worthington Enterprises following the December 2023 separation of Worthington Industries into Worthington Enterprises and Worthington Steel. From 2018 through 2023, Mr. Hayek served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Worthington Industries, where he helped lead the development and execution of the company’s strategic separation and other growth initiatives.
Earlier in his career at Worthington, Mr. Hayek served as Vice President and General Manager of the company’s oil and gas equipment business and as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Development. Before joining Worthington, he was President of PCM/Sarcom and held executive leadership positions in corporate development and investor relations. Prior to PCM, he worked in investment banking with Raymond James and Wachovia.
Mr. Hayek is a member of the board of Catholic Social Services. He previously served on the board of trustees of the Community Shelter Board. Mr. Hayek earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and an MBA from Duke University, where he was named a Rollins Scholar.
Mr. Krishna has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Proto Labs, Inc. since May 2025. Prior to joining Proto Labs, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Northern Tool + Equipment from 2020 through 2024. From 2016 through 2020, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations and Supply Chain Officer of Sleep Number Corporation.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Krishna held various leadership positions with Polaris Industries, including Vice President, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Vice President, Global Operations & Integration.
Mr. Krishna currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Oppidan Investment Company and the National Association of Manufacturers and on the Global Advisory Board of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Board of Advisors of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Krishna earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
